This appears to be caused by a failure of the .net framework not being installed or is corrupted. Only things I could find say to reinstall or install it.
So started with .net 2.0.
Download Microsoft .net Framework version 2.0 Resistributable Package (x64)
Hmmm, didn’t work its already installed. I don’t want to reinstall it as it doesn’t appear to be broken.
So what next:
Open server administrator, select “features”, ticked the “.net framework 3.5.1 features” only, don’t tick anything else. Wait for the installer to complete.
Then tried the Dell Openmanage Installer again. Now it seemed to install just fine!
