{"id":686,"date":"2014-08-26T19:06:00","date_gmt":"2014-08-26T19:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.geekmungus.co.uk\/?p=686"},"modified":"2022-11-05T10:53:19","modified_gmt":"2022-11-05T10:53:19","slug":"microsoft-dpm-2012-r2-reporting-services-doesnt-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/geekmungus.co.uk\/?p=686","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft DPM 2012 R2 Reporting Services Doesn&#8217;t Work"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was an issue when trying to setup a scheduled job in DPM, you can run reports but you can&#8217;t set an automatic report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Platform:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">System Center Data Protection Manager 2012 R2<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SQL Server installed locally with DPM 2012 R2<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Problem:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Error ID 3001:- Reporting Services Server cannot connect to the DPM database<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">when configure reporting schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Solution:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. Open the reports server that were installed: http:\/\/&lt;HOSTNAME&gt;\/Reports_MSDPM2012\/<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. Click on the &#8220;DPMReports_fh7f734hfywefs&#8221; (your link will be different)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. Click on DPMReporterDataSource so you can see the properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. Click on the &#8220;Properties&#8221; tab on the left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. For the connect using: change this to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Username: <strong>DPMR$HOSTNAME<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Password: <strong>&lt;whatever you put in your installer for DPM 2012&gt;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tick the box for &#8220;Use as Windows Credentials when connecting to the data source.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6. Now test the connection, and click Apply.
