Imagine 10 servers on an ESX host all with the screensaver running this does create an overhead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To disable do the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[Start] [Run] [Regedit]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HKEY_USERS\\.DEFAULT\\Control Panel\\Desktop\\ScreenSaveActive<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ModifyScreenSaveActive] according to the Value Data listed below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Value Data: 0 = ScreenSaveActive Disabled \/ 1 = ScreenSaveActive Enabled<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Exit Registry and Reboot<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When set to &#8220;0&#8221; (zero) it will disable the logon screensaver.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you are virtualising its a good idea to disable the login screensaver, this will save on processor cycles wasted drawing the screensaver to save a screen that doesn&#8217;t exist.
